What is with TV shows killing off characters that Mike and I like? House has just joined the ranks of Sarah Connor Chronicles and Heroes (to name the two most recent) in killing off one of the most likable characters on the show. TV producers clearly should talk to us before they make any big decisions. I'm looking at you, Dollhouse, Desperate Housewives, and Family Guy.

I figured that since I had seen in regular news stories that characters would be dying on most of these that I was safe. And since they're mostly big casts, it could be anyone!

Also, cover your eyes on Facebook, because at least one of these deaths has a "Why the f did they kill x character" group as well as a "memorial" page set up by the network (where idiots are asking if the actor died).

In the meantime, I'll try to be more careful, and you need to get a TV! I guess Mike and I really do have to move to NJ, so you can come over and watch tv.

I liked Kutner. If Kutner had really existed, he's the kind of person we would have been friends with. Curse you, House writers.

Of course, Ronan is now coveting dead Kutner's Star Wars stuff :-)

Exactly! I think that's why Mike and I have been frustrated with all these shows. The characters who we would want to be friends with if they existed are the ones that are killed off. And, unlike the Nikki storyline in Heroes, or Starbuck (or any of the Cylons) on BSG, these ones are D-E-A-D dead.

Kutner asked for his character to be killed off.

He is transitioning to the white house staff.

No, really.

Cool. But it was still a dumb ass storyline. They should have just sent Kutner to the White House.

Actually the actor asked to leave the show. He is working for Obama in Washington now. So not the writers fault really. Some media liasion position.

Get out of town.

Doesn't he know he's more useful to my television watching than the Obama administration? ;)

maybe his position will be as the person who gets on tv and shares the news from the white house with us.... and then it's "real life drama" ....

Sad news to hear... saw who it was once i logged into AOL this afternoon.

And yes, i am sad.. i have a TV.. and a DVD player.. Just no Cable, and refuse to get bunny ears or the HD "equivalent" as i figure i will eventually be able to afford TV service of some type again. Although I am contemplating Just getting net access and sticking with watching things a day late on Hulu or other sites.
