Feb. 3rd, 2008 06:20 pmSo, Mike and I went to IKEA today to buy a bookshelf. Neither of us had ever been there before, and let me just say....wow.
That place is wild! It's like a maze of furniture, knick-knacks, and lamps! The place itself is very cool, the other customers were somewhat obnoxious. Someone like
nataliia could never handle it, even my patience was wearing thin for the rudeness.
When we finally negotiated our way out of there, we ended up with two bookshelves (one for the living room, one for the bedroom), two CD/DVD racks, a floor lamp (for me to use while knitting), and a pizza cutter. And we only spent $250! The bookshelves are really nice, too, it's all real wood, not particle board crap.
Mike is currently putting together the living room bookshelf, which will mostly hold books of mine (as will the bedroom bookshelf). I'm taking in progress pictures, and I'll post progress and final pictures later. Whee!
For now, cooking a pizza, drinking beer, and watching the Superbowl. How middle-America of us. ;)
