It has not been a good day. And it's not even ten o'clock.
When I went out to my car this morning, I discovered a very slushy driveway. Luckily I was wearing boots, so my feet stayed dry.
I got in my car, and started it. Something was not right. I turned on the heat, but the heat did not turn on. Then I realized that the radio was not working, nor were the windshield wipers. I turned the car off, and back on again, and everything was fine.
Five minutes down the road I wondered if I had the portable battery charger in my car. Ten minutes later I realized I forgot my glasses (but remembered the cloth to clean them with).
I got to campus, got out of my car, and noticed my vision was a little weird. By the time I walked across campus and stopped at a restroom, I realized that I was having another episode.
By the time I got to class, I could barely see enough to get my notebook out of my bag. About 20 minutes after I first noticed vision problems, I got a headache that has not yet gone away. Ten minutes later, I experienced numbness in my right hand, which made it incredibly hard to write (not to mention the fact that I still couldn't see. That lasted for about fifteen minutes, and my vision slowly came back. I estimate that I had vision problems for 45 minutes to an hour.
Five minutes after my vision came back, I had tingling in my right hand. Five minutes later, my lips and face were tingling as well. That lasted for about twenty minutes.
All in all, the episode (minus headache) lasted between an hour and fifteen minutes and an hour and a half. Aside from the episode where I had only the severe headache and sensitivity to light (no vision trouble, numbness, or tingling), I think this episode is the longest yet. I still have a headache, which isn't severe, but definitely hurts.
I did take two ibuprofin as soon as I noticed symptoms (the doctor said to take aleve, but I didn't have any on me), but that didn't seem to do much. I looked at my planner, and my episodes were 27, 27, and 26 days apart, respectively.
This is the first episode to happen in the morning, the other three have been between 4 and 10 pm. I didn't notice anything different in my routine today, so I can't seem to pick out a trigger related to anything that I am doing.
This sucks.
Oh, and I would declare today over and go home, but I have an exam in my last class of the day, which is at 6 pm. And the professor is going to lecture after the exam. Ugh.
