Fun night last night. I went out with two boys to Red Square, wearing my new corset that I just bought. We were having an awesome time, and a random girl asked to join us because she had been stood up. We naturally said yes, and some of her friends ended up turning up and joining us. One of her friends was a guy named Jason who saved Kim and I from some sketchy guys ages ago, when I first turned 21 and didn't know how to save myself. He and I reminisced, and hit it off amazingly well. He was super friendly and super complimentary. I even dropped the patented "How much does a polar bear weigh?" and he instantly answered "Enough to break the ice. Hi, my name is Jason." It was glorious. We headed out to the dance floor and were dancing like crazy (he couldn't stop looking at me), and a gay couple I'm friends with showed up. I was so excited, because it had been ages since I had seen them, so we got to dance, and they loved Jason. Michael, the one I know better of the couple, said that he highly approved, and that I picked a good one, and that if we wanted to have a threesome, we knew who to go to. Eventually, lights were turned on, and we headed out. I played my "social butterfly, I know all the bouncers and bartenders" as we left, and Jason walked me home. We got to my door, and he pointed out the fact that I was stopping him at my door. I told him that yes, I was, because I'm not that kind of girl. He said that he didn't want to have sex tonight anyway, he liked me too much and had way to much respect for me to try that. We sat on the stoop talking for about half an hour, and I eventually invited him in because we were both starving. We sat and watched tv, and half of Zoolander, and when it got to be almost 5 am, I told him that I was tired and was going to bed. He asked if he could crash on my couch, and I told him not to be silly, that he could sleep in my bed. He asked if I was sure, and that he wanted whatever I was comfortable with, and I told him yes, so he slept upstairs. We kissed a little bit, and he told me I was high maintenance, which I strongly dissagreed with, and then we went to sleep. He was good to sleep next to, because he didn't over or under cuddle. He was pretty much at just the right place. It was damn hot in here last night, so cuddling was kind of out of the question, but by morning, it had cooled down, and he cuddled, which was perfect. He left about twenty minutes ago, and said he would call me when he got out of work tonight (he works as a bartender). If he doesn't, he doesn't, I'm over freaking out about boys. On the up side, he is 30, so chances are he is going to be more mature and have his shit together better than the guys I've been dating lately. I figure, whatever happens happens, I'm cool with it, and I had a good time without doing anything at all that made me feel bad the next day.

Date: 2005-08-06 12:30 pm (UTC)It is nice when you find a "mature" man, who realizes that life is not all partying and casual sex. Some of us "mature" men just want to find someone who will put up with our crap. Oh, and won't "over or under cuddle". (grin)
Good thoughts for you.
