Thank goodness for internet at school.
I'm in the cafe studying for today's exams, which are Macroeconomics and Intro to Management. I'm really nervous about Macro, because I don't feel all that prepared (despite spending several hours both Saturday and Sunday studying, as well as studying today).
Management, I can't get myself to care about, since our professor clearly doesn't give a flying crap about us. He still hasn't returned our second exam, which we took, oh, the first week of November? I'm pretty sure he lost the exams. He also has lectured on the same topic (and by this, I mean using the exact same slides) multiple times, gave us an unannounced exam worth 20% of our grade, and doesn't know the name of a single person in our class. For that class, it feels like any effort is wasted. I did do my usual study regimen of outlining each chapter that will be on the exam, but I can't force myself to do any more.
Which is fine, because I need all the time I can come up with to keep looking over this macro stuff. You know, all the time I can come up with minus the time needed to post to LJ. ;)
Other than that, things aren't bad. It turns out Mike and I were unbelievably lucky with regard to the ice storm. We drove through town to get our tree yesterday, and there are many areas that look like a tornado went through. There's branches and trees down all over town, one of Mike's friends just got his power back yesterday evening (he spent the day at our house Sunday keeping warm), there are still people staying in emergency shelters, there's blocks with no power. It would be nice if the tree in the middle of our street got taken care of at some point, but in the meantime, everyone on our street can use our driveway for access to the main road. We have been warm, safe, with power, and haven't lost any food or burst any pipes. Things could have been far worse.
Time to get back to studying. Another hour and 45 minutes to study before my back to back exams! Then tomorrow is studying for QBA and Accounting, which I'll take Wednesday. Then I'll be FREE!
