Questions for the intelligent people on my f-list.

1) When you are transporting several loaves of bread somewhere, how do you protect them? There are different types, so I don't want them rubbing their flavors all over each other, and I'd like to keep them from getting stale. My inclination is to reuse other bread bags, but I only have a couple available. Any thoughts?

2) I'd like to enter a bread in the period recipe category of the bread baking competition (which requires documentation). However, the recipe for the bread I'd like to enter is not one I personally did the research for. Is that something that is allowed? And if it is, how do I go about documenting it? The recipe/documentation/etc is from this website:

Also, are cinnamon rolls a good breakfast item to bring for a group of people?

Thank you!

1) My grandmother swore by waxed paper. (You tape it shut.)

2) I'm not an expert, but I know that in cordial/brewing comps people enter items made with other's research all the time. I get the sense that its as much about the process of your learning and the skill in the creation of the item as it is about research.

In your documentation be sure and talk about what you learned.

3) Are you serving them somewhere I'll be? If so, yes! :-)

I'll be at Antonio and Elizabeth's. But I could be persuaded to get some to the event if you won't be at their place.

And thanks!

1. You could also wrap them in dish towels.

2. I don't see a problem there. In the documentation I would mention the website you got the recipe from but then be sure to discuss any ways in which you may have deviated from that recipe. E.g. The original said to use x-flour but I know from such-and-such source they also used y-four and I can actually get y-flour at my supermarket, so I used that instead. Or whatever.

Yum, cinnamon rolls.

My local awesome bakery uses paper bags...do you have some of those kicking around? I'd use the bread bags for the stronger flavored/scented, and the paper for the leftover.

Absolutely; just explain why you thought that was a reliable source, is there anything you would do differently, are there any other sources you could cite.

Um, YESSSSSSSS. nom nom nom.

Depends on if they are still warm. Warm bread should not be put into plastic as it will get soggy.
